Terms of Service
Version 1 — Effective April 12, 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Split Infinity platform (“Platform”), operated by Split Infinity (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing the Platform, creating a team, or submitting a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Split Infinity. They apply to all users of the Platform, including registered team owners, team members, and supporters who submit payments.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and “you” refers to both you individually and the organisation.
2. Description of the Platform
Split Infinity is a payment-distribution platform that enables teams to receive supporter payments and distribute the proceeds to team members via Stripe Connect. The Platform facilitates payment collection and disbursement; it is not itself a payment processor, bank, money transmitter, or financial institution.
All payment processing is performed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), a licensed payment service provider. Your use of Stripe’s services is subject to the Stripe Services Agreement and Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which you must accept independently. Split Infinity is not a party to those agreements and is not responsible for Stripe’s acts or omissions.
The Platform does not hold or custody funds. Payments flow directly through Stripe’s infrastructure. Split Infinity deducts a platform fee before instructing Stripe to transfer the remaining proceeds to connected team member accounts.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to register an account or create a team on the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you are not prohibited from receiving services under applicable law.
Registration is performed through supported third-party identity providers (Google, Microsoft, or GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your identity provider account and for all activity that occurs under your Platform account. You must promptly notify us at [legal@split-infinity.com] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when prompted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information provided is inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete.
4. Team Creation and Membership
Registered users may create teams on the Platform. The user who creates a team is designated the team owner and is responsible for configuring the team, managing membership, and ensuring that the team’s use of the Platform complies with these Terms.
Team owners may invite other registered users as team members and assign each member a share percentage that determines the proportion of each payment they receive after fees. Share percentages must sum to 100% across all active members. Team owners are responsible for the accuracy of share configurations.
Team members must independently connect a Stripe account via Stripe Connect before they can receive disbursements. Split Infinity is not responsible for delays or failures arising from a member’s Stripe account status or onboarding.
Ownership of a team may be transferred to another member. The outgoing owner should ensure all outstanding distributions have been settled before initiating a transfer.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Transaction Finality
All completed, non-fraudulent transactions are final. Split Infinity does not provide refunds for completed payments except where required by applicable law or where a transaction is determined to be fraudulent following a completed investigation. Supporters who submit payments acknowledge and accept this policy before completing checkout. If you believe a transaction was processed in error, contact us at [legal@split-infinity.com] with details; we will review the matter but cannot guarantee a refund.
5.2 Chargebacks and Disputes
Supporters retain the right to dispute a charge with their card issuer or bank in accordance with applicable law and card network rules. Where a chargeback or dispute is filed, Split Infinity will cooperate with Stripe’s dispute resolution process. If a chargeback is upheld, any disbursements already made to team members may be subject to recovery to the extent permitted by law.
5.3 Platform Fee
Split Infinity deducts a platform fee from each payment before calculating member disbursements. The applicable fee percentage is displayed in the team’s payment configuration and on the checkout page at the time of each transaction. The platform fee is non-refundable once a transaction is completed, except in cases of platform error.
5.4 Stripe Processing Fees
In addition to the platform fee, Stripe charges a processing fee per transaction (currently 2.9% + $0.30 for card payments, subject to change by Stripe). These fees are deducted after the platform fee. The net amount distributed to team members reflects both deductions. Stripe’s current fee schedule is available at stripe.com/pricing.
5.5 Distribution Timing
Disbursements to team members are initiated after a configurable delay period set by the team owner. Split Infinity does not guarantee that distributions will be completed within any specific timeframe. Distribution timing may be affected by Stripe’s payout schedules, bank processing times, and the status of connected Stripe accounts. Split Infinity is not liable for delays caused by Stripe or by a member’s banking institution.
6. Stripe Connect
To receive disbursements, team members must create and maintain a Stripe Connect account. By connecting a Stripe account, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe Services Agreement, including all policies incorporated therein. Split Infinity has no control over Stripe’s account approval decisions, payout schedules, account restrictions, or closures.
You are solely responsible for providing accurate information to Stripe during onboarding and for maintaining compliance with Stripe’s requirements. If your Stripe account is restricted, suspended, or closed, disbursements to you may be withheld or delayed. Split Infinity is not liable for losses arising from Stripe account issues.
Split Infinity may display your Stripe account status within the Platform to assist with troubleshooting. This status is retrieved from Stripe’s API and may not reflect real-time changes.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful, harmful, or prohibited by these Terms. Without limiting the foregoing, you must not:
- Submit fraudulent payments, use stolen payment credentials, or engage in money laundering or other financial crimes;
- Misrepresent the nature, purpose, or recipients of any payment or team;
- Use the Platform to fund activities that are illegal in any applicable jurisdiction;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform;
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access, scrape, or interact with the Platform without our prior written consent;
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or suspension decisions;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform;
- Engage in any conduct that disrupts, damages, or impairs the Platform or its underlying infrastructure.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these prohibitions and to report suspected illegal activity to appropriate authorities.
8. Intellectual Property
The Platform and all content, software, designs, trademarks, and other materials made available through it are owned by or licensed to Split Infinity and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express written permission.
By submitting content to the Platform (such as team names, descriptions, or profile information), you grant Split Infinity a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform. You retain ownership of your content and may remove it by deleting your account or the relevant team.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We do not guarantee that payment processing, disbursement, or any other Platform functionality will operate without interruption or delay.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Split Infinity’s total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) USD $100 or (b) the total fees paid by you to Split Infinity in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
In no event shall Split Infinity be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The limitations in this section apply regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based, whether contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, and shall survive and apply even if any limited remedy set out in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Platform evolves or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and effective date shown at the top of this page and will notify registered users via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
Previous versions of these Terms are archived and accessible via versioned URLs in the format

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [legal@split-infinity.com] and allow 30 days for us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information.
